Course Structure

To complete the Bachelor of Criminology, students must pass 24 credit points, organized as follows:

The unit DAI001 — Academic Integrity and Respect at Deakin (compulsory, zero credit points) must be completed during the first study period. Beyond that, the structure requires 6 credit points of core units, 6 credit points of criminology course electives, and 12 credit points of free electives.

Regarding study levels, students must complete a maximum of 10 credit points at Level 1, a minimum of 14 credit points at Level 2 or above, and at least 6 credit points at Level 3. No more than 8 credit points may be taken outside the Faculty of Arts and Education.

Most units are worth one credit point. Full-time students typically enroll in four credit points per trimester across two trimesters per year.
